Director Shankar’s much-anticipated film, Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, has started on a stellar note at the box office. Known for delivering festive blockbusters, Shankar returns after a brief hiatus with this big-budget project, which has captured the attention of fans across India.
On its debut, Game Changer collected an impressive ₹51.25 crore nett in India, according to Sacnilk. Here’s the region-wise breakdown of the film’s opening-day earnings:
The Telugu version, as expected, dominated the collections, thanks to Ram Charan’s massive fan following in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Game Changer marks Ram Charan’s first solo project since Vinaya Vidheya Rama (2019), which also happened to be Kiara Advani’s last Telugu film. The movie has generated significant buzz for bringing together Shankar’s signature style and Ram Charan’s star power.
The film also features an ensemble supporting cast, including SJ Suryah, Nassar, Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, and Murali Sharma, playing pivotal roles.
During a press event in Mumbai, Ram Charan shared his excitement about working with Shankar, describing it as a “dream come true.” He recalled SS Rajamouli’s praise for Shankar, calling him the “epitome of commercial cinema” and someone who has “defined global cinema.”
With a strong start at the box office, Game Changer is poised to have a successful run in theaters. The combination of Shankar’s directorial brilliance and Ram Charan’s star power has struck a chord with audiences, setting the stage for what could be one of the biggest hits of the year.
