Sean Hannity, 62, and Ainsley Earhardt, 48, long-time hosts on Fox News, are officially engaged. The couple confirmed the news after Hannity proposed to Earhardt during Christmas week at a church in his home state of Florida.
A Family Celebration
“We are overjoyed and so thankful to our families for all of their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives,” the couple shared with Fox News. They also expressed gratitude for the blessing and support of their children, who “couldn’t be happier.”
Hannity, who shares two children, Patrick and Merri, with his ex-wife Jill Rhodes, has been divorced since 2019. Earhardt, a mother to daughter Hayden with her ex-husband Will Proctor, finalized her own divorce in 2019. Both families were made aware of the engagement beforehand, ensuring harmonious support from their blended families.
A Love Rooted in Faith
Hannity and Earhardt revealed that their shared religious beliefs played a significant role in their bond, making the church an ideal place for the proposal. Shortly after Hannity popped the question, the couple met with their minister to celebrate the moment.
A Long-Secret Relationship
Although the two have been linked since 2020, they have maintained privacy about their relationship. At the time, sources described their connection as an “open secret” within their circle, stating they had been seeing each other discreetly for years.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Earhardt reportedly broadcasted Fox & Friends from the basement studio of Hannity’s Long Island home. Despite speculation about their relationship, both denied it publicly, choosing to remain low-key.
Looking Ahead
The engagement marks a new chapter for Earhardt, who previously told PEOPLE in 2019 that she was open to finding love again and expanding her family. “I would love to find love again and I want to demonstrate a loving relationship for Hayden one day,” she shared at the time.
As the couple embarks on this exciting journey together, fans and colleagues alike are sending their well-wishes.
Best wishes to both of you. May your love for each other grow. God bless❤️
